Nominate an Up-and-Coming Wheelchair Rugby Player for the Coloplast Unique Potentials Competition
Know a new wheelchair rugby athlete who shows potential to make it at the international level? Nominate him or her for the Coloplast Unique Potentials competition. To celebrate the one-month countdown to the 2010 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships, Coloplast will give one up-and-coming wheelchair rugby athlete $500 to support his or her training. The winner will be named at halftime of the championships game of the 2010WWRC.
The Coloplast Unique Potentials Competition
WHO: Nominate an athlete who has been playing for fewer than 4 years and shows potential to play on an international level. This athlete should also be dedicated to training and to making a contribution to the wheelchair rugby community both on and off the court. Athletes can be from anywhere in the world.
WHAT: The winning athlete will receive $500 (in Canadian funds).
HOW: Fill out the nomination form below and submit it to the email address listed on the form. The contest will be judged by the two "quadfathers" of wheelchair rugby: Duncan Campbell, who invented the game, and Brad Mikkelsen, who brought the sport to the USA. They will be joined by Coloplast representative Darin Hurnanen.
WHEN: Send in your nomination forms by Sept. 20th.
WHY: Up-and-coming players help to make the sport of wheelchair rugby better. Every athlete at the 2010WWRC is challenged back home by dozens of athletes who are working hard to make the national team. We want to thank these athletes for their dedication and hard work.
